What Are Smile Vaults?

Are you planning an event but feeling overwhelmed by the logistics of finding the necessary equipment? Look no further than Smile Vaults! These community treasure troves are brimming with useful gear that charities and local groups can borrow, and the best part - It’s completely free!

Smile Vaults are more than just storage spaces; they’re hubs of community support. Managed by the HEY Smile Foundation in collaboration with partner organizations, the four vaults serve Hull and the East Riding. Two of them, the Bridlington Borrow Box and the Driffield Share Station, cater specifically to our local needs although equipment can be borrowed from any of the Vaults.

Bridlington Borrow Box

The Bridlington Borrow Box, overseen by Bridlington CYP, is a beacon of resourcefulness. Located at brid.smilevaults.org, it houses an impressive array of equipment. Whether you’re hosting a charity fundraiser, community gathering, or educational workshop, the Borrow Box has you covered. From PA systems to giant games, tables to gazebos, and even those often-overlooked essentials like litter pickers and Hi-Viz vests, it’s all there for the borrowing.

Driffield Share Station

Meanwhile, the Driffield Share Station, nestled at Driffield Showground and managed by the Driffield Agricultural Society, is another gem. Need presentation equipment for a local seminar? Or perhaps you’re organizing an outdoor event and require a hot water urn, tables, chairs, extension cables and maybe a tombola? Look no further than the Share Station. It’s a lifeline for community groups, ensuring they can fulfil their missions without breaking the bank.

Empowering Charities and Community Groups

By providing a free borrowing services, the Vaults level the playing field allowing even the smallest community organizations and charities to make a significant impact. Whether it’s setting up a temporary shelter with borrowed tents or amplifying their message through borrowed sound systems, the Vaults empower local initiatives.
